β-Caryophyllene is a sesquiterpene and is most commonly found in cloves, black pepper, basil, cinnamon and some cannabis chemo varieties. Due to its unique ability to bind to CB2 receptors and activate the endocannabinoid system, β-caryophyllene has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
